Welcome to your SMC staff application! We are so glad you are interested in applying for a role with us this summer. To apply, please complete the questions below. This form will take 30-45 minutes to complete so please make sure you have the time to complete it in one sitting.

*If you applying for the Audio-Visual Coordinator (Program Assistant) position, we will contact you at a later date to request a sample of your videography. This position includes running sound for worship, taking photos, and creating a weekly session end video.

If you are signing up to join the worship team, we will contact you at a later date to ask for a sample of you singing and/or playing your instrument(s) before making final decisions about who will be joining the worship team.

Please make sure you are available on or before the start dates listed on the positions you are applying for. Also note that if you apply to be a Bible Lesson teacher or part of the worship team, you will need to be available for the week of June 10-14, 2024.

On occasion we allow staff to take a day or two off for milestone events like weddings and important graduations. We do not allow extra time off for non-emergency doctors or dentist appointments, volunteering, or family vacations. All time off is unpaid. Additional responsibilities

Choosing an area you'd be willing to assist in leading or helping out with doesn't mean you are signing up to lead but rather an area you'd be willing to be considered to lead. We will be asking people closer to the start of the summer if they would be interested in leading a specific activity.

We need lifeguards at camp in order to run our daily free swim time. All our lifeguards also perform another job at camp (counsellor, program team, kitchen, etc). However, getting your Bronze Cross or NL certification will give you an increase in weekly pay.

You have the option of getting certified at another pool or location (you must do this for NL certification at this time) and we will cover the cost OR you can choose to sign up for the FREE certification/recertification course for Bronze Cross level we run in June at Scott Mission Camp. These courses are taught by our Director and are exclusively for SMC staff. We will fully support you in this process so please let us know if you would like more information about how you can go about being certified before the summer.

    In order to be eligible to work at camp this summer we require that you have 3 references completed. Below, you simply need to identify one person for each of the references and also include an e-mail for them that they use on a regular basis. We will then e-mail your references directly with the appropriate link for them to complete the reference for you and it will then be sent directly to us. We will contact references only once you have been selected for an interview and have successfully completed the interview.
